Volunteer Guide for Post-Concert Outreach
Helping People Encounter Jesus After the Choir Concert
Thank you for volunteering! Your willingness to step out in love creates opportunities for people to encounter Jesus in a real and personal way. After the choir concert, many guests will be open to meaningful conversations. You are here to listen, encourage, and connect them to Jesus.
1
Your Role as a Volunteer
  • Be friendly and approachable – smile, introduce yourself, and thank them for coming.
  • Ask gentle, open-ended questions that invite conversation about faith and life.
  • Share the love of Jesus through your words, your testimony, and your attentive listening.
2
How to Start the Conversation
  • Begin warmly:
  • "Thanks for coming tonight! Did you enjoy the concert?"
  • "What stood out to you most?"
  • Move toward faith:
  • "Do you have a faith background?"
  • "Have you ever experienced God in a personal way?"
  • Invite testimony:
  • "Would you be open to sharing your story or testimony about your journey with faith?"
Using the Yellow Card When someone is willing to share:
  1. Listen carefully and respectfully.
  1. Ask them if they've filled out the yellow card with:
  • Their name and contact details.
  • Whether they are returning to Christ or coming to him for the first time
  1. Assure them that their story will be handled with care and kept confidential.

Confidentiality
  • All testimony details are to be shared only with the designated leader.
  • Do not share personal stories with others without permission.
  • Handle every card as precious and private.
Tips for Effective Ministry
  • Pray quietly before and after conversations – ask the Holy Spirit to guide you.
  • Listen more than you speak.
  • Encourage – even small steps of faith are worth celebrating.
  • Offer prayer if the moment feels right.
  • Stay available – God may use you in unexpected ways.
The Bigger Picture
This is more than a concert – it's an opportunity for lives to be changed for eternity. By serving, you are partnering with God to bring hope, healing, and salvation to others.
"Always be prepared to give an answer to everyone who asks you to give the reason for the hope that you have. But do this with gentleness and respect." – 1 Peter 3:15
